Client Description:
The Iowa League of Cities is an association of more than 870 cities in Iowa of varying populations. This association serves as a resource for city officials for answers to city government questions and is an advocate for cities on state and federal issues. The association also serves to help keep cities informed of upcoming workshops and publications. A number of League cities have joined in a 28E agreement to establish an Iowa Cities E-Payment Aggregation System (iCash). This will allow participating cities to take credit card payments in the office as well as online. ABC Virtual has contracted with the Iowa League of Cities to provide this service.

Project Description:
The Iowa League of Cities is one of our clients using the ABCV Payment Web. We began contracting with the League for payment services in November of 2009. Initially we are starting with a small pilot group but have plans to expand this to potentially any of the 800+ cities in the League. icashThe system currently allows for taking credit card payments in the office through a pin pad device. It also provides the function to make payments over the web or through implementation of a third party connection. Future development plans include adding customized features to the payment web system that provides for integration with city systems of record. Once implemented, this will allow citizens’ to search online for their utility or other bills to make payment.
